After we got married in Oregon last August, we embarked upon a month-long trip across the United States. We spent the most time camping in Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming, and less time in Oregon, California, Nebraska, Ioa, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.
This entry begins a new series of excerpts from Jocelyn's Journal that she wrote while we travelled.

Aaron and I have been married for one week (yeah). We finally left Eugene two days ago to start our road trip. We needed to visit Aaron's dad and sisters before leaving. We ended the day at Diamond Lake-Mt Thielsen View campground (
pictures), where we set up the mini van for its first night. After a bottle of wine we drifted off to sleep.
The next day we ventured to Crater Lake under an hour drive from Diamond Lake. We hiked Mt. Scott (~8950 ft.), the highest point in the Crater Lake National Park. What a beautiful view. Aaron was taking his sweet time taking pictures with his black and white film camera
(posted here).
We again hit the road again stopping shortly after to cook up our favorite lunch/dinner of cheesy tuna mac, and cafe auit with maple syrup (what a treat before a long drive). We ended up in North eagle Lake Campground after asking for directions, we are still trying to find out if we are going to run out of gas!
Just talked to my parents today they are in Bend, OR enjoying the end of their West Coast trip.
I am really enjoying the alone time with Aaron it is nice to be in peace and quiet.
Today is also my sisters birthday I think she is heading back to NYC.
Our adventure continues...
